This January speculation regarding our possible transfer deals has flew around the press and media. But when we will see a deal finally occur or won’t we? For example we have been linked with a centre back, a striker and a midfielder, but will there be any signings before the window closes?
We have been linked with in my opinion a world class striker and possibly the future of football who is only 25, Antoine Greizmann. He has supposedly been offered £220,000 a week which would make him joint top earner with Paul Pogba. The price tag is estimated at around the £80 million mark however it could be more. This deal could be possibly occur due to speculation regarding he’s happiness at his current club.
His brother Theo Griezmann has been posting a number of cryptic tweets on his Twitter which keep Manchester United fans guessing if the deal is close.
The Number 7 is also available now Memphis Depay has left for Lyon. A historic number in our history, Griezmann will be honoured to be presented with the chance to wear a iconic number which has even been worn by his idol David Beckham.
“I liked [Beckham] a lot,” Griezmann told the Guardian. “He was my idol. That’s why I wear a long-sleeved jersey and wear the No.7.”
“You hear a lot of things [speculation] about Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but right now I don’t see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day.”
Ashley Young looks set to depart from the club before the transfer window closes. The BBC report that their have been offers from a range of Premier League clubs along with a potential move to China. He has grown frustrated at his lack of playing time this season only playing 548 minutes in all competitions so far and has only started five times with the Red Devils in the current campaign. Apart from being designated the unofficial dressing room DJ, Ashley Young has not been given as much game time as he wants this season. However, with Lyon capturing Memphis Depay from Manchester United earlier this month, Mourinho wants Young to stay as a reliable backup.
With deadline day imminent, major signings are not expected with the summer transfer window looking to be the time where Mourinho can bring in some major players.
